Benefits of Strawberries

Strawberries are nutritional powerhouses filled with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber. Here are some of the top benefits they provide:

  • High in vitamin C – one serving provides over 100% of your daily needs! Vitamin C supports immune function and skin health.
  • Contain anthocyanins – these antioxidants give strawberries their red color and reduce inflammation in the body.
  • Packed with manganese – this mineral is important for bone health and metabolism.
  • Fiber fills you up – the 3 grams of fiber per cup will help keep you satisfied.
  • Low in calories – strawberries are naturally sweet but low in calories, making them a smart snack.

So feel good about indulging in these sweet, juicy berries! The nutrition they provide actually outweighs any sugar content.

Benefits of Mangoes

In addition to being succulent and delicious, mangoes offer an array of vitamins, minerals and plant compounds that provide health benefits:

  • Vitamins A and C – mangoes are high in these antioxidants that support immune function and healthy skin.
  • Fiber – the fiber in mangoes promotes good digestion and cholesterol levels.
  • Vitamin B6 – mangoes are a good source of B6 which aids in brain development and function.
  • Copper – this mineral is important for nerve and brain health, and mangoes provide it.
  • Beta-carotene – mangoes contain this antioxidant which the body converts into vitamin A.
  • Polyphenols – these compounds have anti-inflammatory effects in the body.

So enjoy mangoes on their own or blended into smoothies knowing that you’re getting a nutritious boost! Their exotic sweetness comes along with many health perks.

Benefits of Bananas

Bananas are one of the most popular fruits, largely thanks to their sweet taste, low cost and portability. But they also deliver some great nutritional benefits:

  • Potassium – bananas are well known for being high in this mineral that regulates fluid balance and blood pressure.
  • Vitamin B6 – bananas provide B6 which helps convert food into energy and produces neurotransmitters for brain function.
  • Fiber – unripe bananas contain resistant starch that acts as soluble fiber to improve digestion.
  • Antioxidants – bananas contain antioxidants including vitamin C, catechins and dopamine that reduce oxidative stress.
  • Magnesium – this mineral is important for bone health and muscle function. Bananas provide about 8% of your daily needs.
  • Manganese – this trace mineral aids in metabolizing carbs and amino acids.
  • Convenience – bananas require no prep, making them a grab-and-go breakfast or snack to fuel your day.
